ok, so i wanna let you know about a little obsession of mine. one word:
PIXIWOO. pixiwoo is a sister duo, nic and sam, (which obviously mary and i love) who are make-up artists from london that vlog step by step celebrity make-up looks to everyday looks.
at the beginning of the year my friend leah introduced me to them and i've been hooked ever since. pinterest, facebook, twitter --- forget it -- their youtube channel is my jam and basically all i care about now. they are my beauty gurus.

one of my favorite things they do is show which products are the best quality. i used to just go to the store and pick out the item with the coolest bottle/packaging and cross my fingers hoping it'd be a winner. but now i have an arsenal of information on their favorite products and not just the really expensive ones, but things you can find at your local drugstore if you are in a pinch for time or money -- which usually for me is both. they have also inspired me to save my pennies and dream about owning a things like tom ford lipstick (one day!).
anyways, thought i'd share with you some of the knowledge i've learned over the past couple months-- here are some of their picks on a go-to staple: red lipstick.
and their picks for the best foundations -- this has literally been a lifesaver. right now, i'm saving up for the nars sheer matte foundation (which i've used before), but i'm using the colorstay for combination/oily.

mac pro-longwear(n/dry) matchmaster(c/oily) //
nars sheer glow(n/dry) or sheer matte (c/oily)
also another great thing -- sam makes her own line of make-up brushes called real techniques. i have them and love, love, love them. they are really reasonable compared to mac brushes and others and they work really well. below are the two starter kits, which i have and i also have a stippling brush. you know what else is awesome? i bought them off
amazon. and with my prime account they were in my hands in two days!
well. i hope you'll be as hooked as i am!
